Benchmark software from Speedline Technologies is a proprietary framework designed to support common machine control capabilities used in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. These capabilities include motion and I/O control, database support, vision capabilities, diagnostics, SPC capabilities and a standardized Windows®-based user interface.
This graphical user interface (GUI) was designed to provide ease-of-use and a common look-and-feel for production operators. The GUI provides wizards for key setup, teach, calibration and diagnostics sequences, eliminating the need for extensive training. The GUI presents different screens and options based on which user is currently logged into the system, and allows for customization of user groups. With Benchmark's common interface and operation, electronics manufacturers can easily rotate their operators between different equipment types. Recognizing the ever-present importance of throughput and performance, a proprietary message system was developed to facilitate high-speed communications and synchronization between subsystems. New PCB products can be entered into production with minimal operator training.
