The MPM UltraFlex BBP stencil printer is capable of printing 24" x 36" (600mm x 900mm) boards that weigh up to 70 pounds (32kg). Its heavy motorized construction and strengthened center nest allow it to handle assemblies up to three times the capacity of competitive systems. It can also handle smaller boards (6" x 4" minimum), giving customers the option to use the machine for conventional print requirements.
The UltraFlex BBP system has a patent-pending 90-degree rotation mechanism that allows large board printing using standard, economically priced 29-inch wide stencils. This rotation feature also orients the board in a manner that limits the squeegee blade length, ensuring fine-pitch printing capability even for these large boards. The printer has the same footprint as the original UltraFlex platform and incorporates the quality features inherent in all MPM automatic stencil printers, including patented look-up/look-down vision, the fastest printer-based 2D inspection system available, and an automatic vacuum stencil wiper capability. Stencil sizes for the new printer range from 29" x 29" (736mm x 736mm) up to 29" x 50" (736mm x 1270mm). Minimum board thickness is 0.062" (1.57mm) with a maximum of 1" (25.4mm). One-inch (25.4mm) underside clearance is also provided.
