ExactaWave
The ELECTROVERT ExactaWave wave height control system automatically maintains consistent solder wave height for increased accuracy and productivity. The system controls the engagement of the solder wave to the printed
circuit board and can withstand temperatures up to 300° (572°F). This design eliminates the necessity for operator adjustment of the wave depth due to process variations. Because the wave depth is held constant, a very accurate contact between the board and the solder wave is maintained. The ExactaWave compensates for changes in solder level, dross accumulation, and setup changes made during maintenance. A set point entered in a recipe always produces the same result. In addition, the system compensates for incorrect lead-clearance adjustment and simplifies process setup by providing a specific wave height setting.
Features
- Closed-loop wave height control measures solder wave height relative to the PCB in the conveyor
- Sensor positioning close to the PCB in the conveyor rail produces minimal errors and greater process accuracy
- Wave height control software integrated with board tracking compensates for distortions in wave height readings
- Board tracking allows solder wave to run only when needed
