EconoPak® Gold
The ELECTROVERT Econopak Gold system is a compact, economical wave soldering platform designed for medium-volume electronics manufacturers. The system supports lead-free operations and can be fitted with features found on high-volume units, including coN2tour nitrogen inerting, convection preheating, rotary chip wave, and alternate fluxing options. A high-capacity, cast iron, corrosion resistant solder pot with DC-controlled pumps provides automatic start/stop of the solder wave. It is designed to handle lead-free materials, which can corrode and destroy conventional stainless steel solder pots. The Econopak Gold solder module provides ideal wave dynamics for dense circuits, SMT components, and difficult-to-solder geometries. The wave can also be adjusted to reduce bridging defects on both SMT and through-hole components using a full-width adjustable angle debridging air knife. The system is equipped with a PC-based user interface for ease of use. It stores up to 500 recipes for complete and accurate process control of the fluxer, preheat, and solder modules. Built for quick access, the fluxer module slides out easily for maintenance and operation is integrated into the software for accurate control. The system processes boards up to 400mm (16 in.) and comes standard with 1.2m (4 ft.) of preheat. Optional 1.6m (6 ft.) of preheat is also available with the external fluxer cabinet.
